Neurodiversity
The "Celebrating Cultural Inclusivity in the Neurodiverse Community" project is an innovative initiative focused on recognizing and celebrating cultural diversity within the neurodiverse community. Funded by the Ethnocultural Grant from the Government of Alberta, this project fosters inclusion, connection, and understanding for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, ADD, and related conditions.
Our goal is to create inclusive spaces where neurodivergent individuals, families, caregivers, and service providers can connect, share stories, and celebrate their unique cultural identities. By encouraging community engagement and collaboration, this project builds supportive networks that transcend cultural boundaries and promote belonging.
At the core of this initiative are cultural dialogues, inclusive events, and the development of resources like an inventory of culturally responsive services and a detailed report to guide caregivers and service providers in fostering inclusivity.
